As our newest addition to our Business Support team in Sydney, Kirstie has hit the ground running as Senior Consultant! After relocating to Sydney from the UK a few weeks ago, she's really making an impact. We asked Kirstie a few questions to get to know her better...
How are you settling into Sydney?
I have been in Sydney two weeks now and I am settling in really well. There is so much to be seen and I am loving exploring a new city!
What is your favourite recruitment story?
My personal favourite is the fact that I had no interest in doing recruitment, my vision was to be a primary school teacher. It was only when I covered a temp desk in the office I was working in, as an administrator during the holidays years ago, I realised how much I loved temporary recruitment and now I am on the other side of the world working in this industry.
What is one thing you do to get motivated?
Writing down everything that I aim to accomplish for each day!
What is your biggest takeaway from working in recruitment?
Getting the placement right – it is a brilliant feeling when you can find a candidate and company their ideal match.
What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?
The best thing that has happened to me this week was putting up an advert and having an old friend that I’d lost contact with from the UK apply. It was lovely to see a familiar face and it makes you realise how small the world is. Hopefully we will have her out working soon!
