The Client

Responsibilities

  • As a member of a client-focused team and under limited supervision, process salary and related entitlements for all staff, including allowances, deductions, set up of new employees and termination payments
  • Interpret and provide advice to staff on salaries and related entitlements, leave and general conditions of service
  • Investigate and provide advice relating to the interpretation and application of legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Participate as a constructive team member to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality service and professional practice and standards
  • Answer and/or delegate all pay enquiries and requests for service with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Identify obsolete and inefficient practices and recommend changes where appropriate
  • Provide continued training to new employees and managers on payroll practices
  • Ensure that payroll officers on a weekly basis undertake filing
  • Issue of Payment Summaries
  • Ensure the confidentiality of the payroll files and system at all times

You

  • 3/4 years experience within payroll
  • 2 years within a Senior payroll Officer position
  • Excvellent written and verbal skills
  • Chris21 and timetek experience will be advantageous but not necessary
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Friendly/enthusiastic attitude
