Customer Accounts & Collections Manager

The Role

You will oversee day-to-day customer account operations, ensuring efficient processing, strong customer engagement and effective management of outstanding balances. You will play a key role in improving cash outcomes, reducing overdue debt and enhancing customer experience through structured and proactive account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team managing customer accounts, billing queries and collections activity
  • Monitor and manage aged debt, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances
  • Drive cash collection performance through proactive customer engagement and structured follow-up
  • Support complex customer issues and escalations relating to accounts and payments
  • Set and track performance targets including collection outcomes, activity levels and service KPIs
  • Produce reporting and insights to support forecasting, performance tracking and decision-making
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Customer teams
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customer outcomes
  • Coach and develop team members to improve capability and performance

About You

  • Experience in customer accounts, collections, accounts receivable or similar operational finance environment
  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior team support role
  • Strong understanding of debtor management and customer account processes
  • Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Intermediate Excel and reporting capability
  • Full working Rights - No remote or Hybrid role
