Customer Accounts & Collections Manager

The Role
You will oversee day-to-day customer account operations, ensuring efficient processing, strong customer engagement and effective management of outstanding balances. You will play a key role in improving cash outcomes, reducing overdue debt and enhancing customer experience through structured and proactive account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team managing customer accounts, billing queries and collections activity
- Monitor and manage aged debt, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances
- Drive cash collection performance through proactive customer engagement and structured follow-up
- Support complex customer issues and escalations relating to accounts and payments
- Set and track performance targets including collection outcomes, activity levels and service KPIs
- Produce reporting and insights to support forecasting, performance tracking and decision-making
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Customer teams
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customer outcomes
- Coach and develop team members to improve capability and performance
About You
- Experience in customer accounts, collections, accounts receivable or similar operational finance environment
- Previous experience in a leadership or senior team support role
- Strong understanding of debtor management and customer account processes
- Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Intermediate Excel and reporting capability
- Full working Rights - No remote or Hybrid role
