AccountAbility is currently working with an exciting and innovative client located in the South East to find a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to work on a 12 month fixed term contact.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll and EFT's
  • Processing onboarding new employees, long service leave, terminations and other payroll related payments and returns, maintaining Payroll Personnel Records.
  • Preparation of month-end reports and financial analysis
  • Reviewing insurance policies for suitability and cost effectiveness on a regular basis.
  • Manage the employee benefits program
  • Delivery of payroll and benefits workshops to Associates
  • Prepare monthly payroll tax returns for all states.
  • Prepare the submissions for renewal of workers compensation policies each year.
  • Manage the PAYG tax process.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years end-to-end Australian payroll experience
  • Experience managing employee benefit programmes
  • Knowledge of all payroll legislation
  • Experience in the preparation of payroll tax returns, PAYG tax returns and workers compensation renewals
  • Strong end to end payroll skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP payroll and report writing
  • Working knowledge of Life Assurance, Salary Continuance plans and Workers Compensation
  • Experience in the preparation of payroll tax returns, PAYG tax returns and workers compensation renewals
  • Monthly pay run experience as well as out of cycle payments
  • Knowledge of Payforce National system
  • Experience working in a HR and/or Payroll team
