This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll specialist with strong audit or compliance experience to step into a critical role supporting risk management and payroll integrity.

THE ROLE
- End-to-end responsibility for payroll compliance, governance, and audit readiness
- Regular review of payroll processes to ensure alignment with legislation, awards, and EBAs
- Lead internal and external payroll audits and support remediation activities
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure adherence to tax, superannuation, and statutory obligations
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to strengthen controls
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
THE PERSON
- Strong payroll experience with a focus on compliance, audit, or risk
- In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and EBAs
- Experience in audit preparation, reporting, and remediation
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Confident stakeholder engagement across payroll, HR, and finance
- Experience in large or complex payroll environments preferred
- Exposure to iChris and UKG preferred not essential
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and present best practice
- Full working rights in Australia (permanent position)
