This is a high‑impact temporary role supporting a large, multi‑site workforce through EOFY. You'll be fully office‑based in Leichhardt with onsite parking, working closely with key stakeholders across payroll and finance. There is genuine potential for extension or longer‑term opportunities for the right person.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing end‑of‑financial‑year payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Leading salary reviews, pay adjustments, reconciliations, and award interpretation
- Producing and reconciling complex payroll reports aligned with finance requirements
- Managing statutory obligations including superannuation, tax, and STP reporting
- Supporting payroll system updates, changes, and process improvements
- Acting as a technical escalation point for complex payroll matters
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Payroll Team leader
- Strong EOFY payroll exposure within a large, complex workforce
- Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience with enterprise payroll systems such as Chris21 and/or Dayforce
- High attention to detail and confidence managing technical payroll issues
- Ability to work onsite five days per week and add value immediately
