Job Description

The Business

My client is a leading Energy solutions provider who have a stunning footprint within the Sydney market, but also has an international presence. A rare and exciting opportunity has become available.


  • Process payrolls & checking masterfile and other changes are correct
  • Lodge and pay payroll tax for various tax offices
  • Lodge and pay IRD for NZ
  • Prepare Payroll Register for reporting of Payroll data
  • Prepare Super Defined Contribution holiday upload file and to Default Super fund
  • Prepare AMP Super upload file and upload to AMP for NZ entity
  • Provide intercompany rebilling details for Defined Contribution Holiday Super payments when requested from Finance
  • Provide GL account code details for payroll payments when requested
  • Update Lease file with payroll deductions and invoice details by employee for reconciliation of the Lease account
  • Reconcile Super Account to check the Super accrual matches to the Superannuation payments
  • Process Child Support payment, garnishee orders
  • Prepare and lodge the annual reconciliation for payroll tax by state for all entities - done annually
  • Prepare and submit to the ATO the Employee Share Scheme Reporting (ESS) - done annually
  • Provide payroll data to auditors for the annual statutory audit.

Monthly tasks

  • Prepare month end Salary Journals
  • Prepare month end Cash journal
  • Calculate and prepare Super Defined Contribution holiday journal
  • Prepare Bonus/Commission accrual journals
  • Prepare ad hoc journals to correct discrepancies found in reconciliations

Quarterly Reporting

  • Prepare Small Plan Pension reporting when requested from Finance
  • Prepare and submit Quarterly Bonus reporting
  • Any other Ad hoc reporting requests from Finance


  • 6 years plus experience within Payroll
  • A high degree of knowledge within payroll accounting, including balance sheets and ledgers, GL coding & payroll journals
  • Experience working within an outsourced payroll - essential
  • Experience using ADP Payforce and ADP Payline
  • Chris21 experienced preffered but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Australia and NEW Zealand payroll experience is essential
