A growing, privately held investment business is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment and is excited to take ownership of a variety of tasks while working closely with an experienced finance function.

THE ROLE
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities
- Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Assist with monthly reporting and updating financial workpapers
- Set up payments in banking platforms
- Assist with broker trail and investor distributions
- Maintain and update the loan register
- Support BAS preparation and audit processes
- Handle investor transactions (fund allocations, redemptions, holdings transfers)
- Contribute to year-end financial reports and assist external auditors
- Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and documentation
THE PERSON
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping
- Comfortable with a high volume of transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
- A proactive communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Collaborative, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) essential
- Experience with MYOB is desirable but not essential
