We have an exciting opportunity for an experience credit officer to join a busy team to assist with a backlog of claims.
JOB SUMMARY
The Claims Officer is responsible for managing the customer claims and returns process. This includes, processing, investigating, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer claims and returns in a timely and accurate manner in SAP
- Provide claims reporting and support with root cause analysis
- Responsible for organizing and following up all customer returns
- Work with different stakeholders in the business to eliminate pricing errors and reduce the total amount of claims
- Investigate delivery issues in conjunction with the logistics department
- Work through historical and rejected claims
- Review and improve upon existing processes and create work instructions
- Reduce the number of claims received by customers
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for interfacing directly with customers to ensure claims are processed on a timely basis and respond to customer queries regarding outstanding claims
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Validate and organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
- Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated department to support customer needs
- Actively participate in process development and provide constructive feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process
- SAP ERP desired
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
