Accounts Administrator

Prestigious NFP looking for an enthusiastic Office Admin looking to pursue a career with a rare combination of accounting admin & assisting in events!

The Client

Based in the central CBD, this prestige NFP political organisation are looking for an Events and Accounts Administrator to join their small, close knit team and support the Finance Manager. They can offer flexibility with working hours and excellent career progression!

You will have the opportunity to attend events and political conferences throughout the year and can develop and progress your career in the future. You need to be able to prioritise, and juggle tasks efficiently to get the job done and would suit someone who has a keen eye for detail and an interest in accounts!

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to understand and use accounting software
  • Basic accounting duties such as invoicing, and reconciling accounts
  • In charge of the administration for the event including Budget and booking
  • Using events platform (Eventbrite) and work closely with the Corporate Events Coordinator
  • Ensuring relevant legislation and processes are followed at all times
  • Monitoring Donations
  • Monthly report to the State Director
  • Answer phone calls and incoming queries for events

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an administration role with a finance focus
  • Previous experience in community fundraising events requiring engagement with community groups and volunteers is highly regarded
  • Experience with data entry, data checking and database maintenance, queries and running a range of reports
  • Good Microsoft excel, and Word computer programs skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and respect the deadlines
  • Attention to details with organisational skills to manage projects
