Finance Manager
- $100,000 + Super | Full-Time | Standalone Role | 2010, Surry Hills
- Own the full finance function, including end-to-end AP, AR, payroll, and month-end
- Drive financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements across the business
We're partnering with a leading creative business based in vibrant Surry Hills to recruit a Finance Manager who will take full ownership of the finance function. This is a standalone position, reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the wider management team.

About the Role
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the full finance function, including:
Financial Operations
- End-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Monthly payroll for approx. 30 employees plus contractors
- Managing credit card reconciliations and employee expenses
- Maintaining accurate records in Xero
Month-End & Reporting
- Full month-end process including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Accurate reporting of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Monthly review of client billings
- Tracking forecasted vs actual revenue for all client jobs
- Implementing and refining reporting processes across the business
- Supporting management with financial insights to ensure job costs remain on budget
Compliance
- Oversee all ATO obligations, including:
- Quarterly BAS
- Monthly PAYG
- Superannuation
- EOFY payroll & financial reporting
- Liaise with external auditors
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a standalone finance role or ready to step up into one
- Confident across AP, AR, payroll, and month-end
- Proficient with Xero
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working closely with senior leadership
- Strong with process improvement and business partnering
