DUTIES

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Payroll Officer
  • Review payroll for accuracy, compliance, and best practice
  • Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries
  • Oversee superannuation, payroll tax, workers compensation, and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies
  • Drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and controls
  • Play a key role in payroll system upgrades and future implementations

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll with oversight or leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards (construction experience highly regarded)
  • Experience mentoring or managing payroll team members
  • Exposure to payroll system implementations or a strong desire to be involved
  • High attention to detail with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Someone who enjoys bringing fresh eyes, ideas, and improvements to payroll
