The Role
As the Payroll Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supporting the national payroll function, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery for approximately 2,500 - 3,000 employees. This role combines BAU processing with systems, controls, improvement work and leadership support.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑end fortnightly payroll processing
- Month‑end and year‑end duties including payroll tax, super, STP, PAYG and balance sheet reconciliations
- Interpreting multiple awards and enterprise agreements
- Maintaining data integrity and audit compliance
- Acting as 2iC to the Senior Payroll Manager
- Assisting with process improvement, controls and system testing
- Providing payroll advice to internal stakeholders across the business
About You

What You'll Bring
- 7+ years as a Senior Payroll Officer who has acted as a mentor or leader in the team
- (OR) Current experience as a Payroll Supervisor or Team Leader
- Strong end‑to‑end payroll capability, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Exposure to awards/EBAs
- Strong Excel skills
- Confidence working through system changes, improvements or implementations
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Payroll or relevant studies (advantageous)
- Experience with Dayforce preferred, but not essential
