I started my career in recruitment in 2015 in the UK and I made the great decision to move to Australia in 2019 to join the team at AccountAbility! The reason why I approached Accountability was because my best friend from home secured a temporary accounts payable role through them the year before and she had a great experience with the team. She said that out of all of the agencies she dealt with in Sydney, AccountAbility was the most thorough and genuine and really got to understand her needs. I immediately got in touch with Ben Knight with my resume and the rest was history!
Since 2014 I have specialised in transactional accounting and payroll recruitment, both on a temporary and permanent basis, helping to support various SME and global companies across a variety of sectors. As a senior consultant at AccountAbility, I focus on recruitment purely in the North Shore and Northern Beaches of Sydney, specialising in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, assistant accounting and office support roles.
I believe in developing strong relationships with all my candidates and clients and taking the time to fully understand individual needs and personalities to successfully match them to the right opportunity. I also hold my self accountable to delivering on promises I make, so if I say I will have a shortlist over within 48 hours. I WILL make that happen!
Top candidate tip:
My tip to every candidate is that interview preparation is key! You must know about the business, the interviewer you are meeting and obviously the job you are going for, with a list of questions ready to ask at the end. More so though is about knowing your CV and being confident to give direct examples of how you can link the job spec and the interviewers' questions to what you have done in your career. 'Statement, explanation, example & positive impact on the business' should be the format for all answers. This will keep your answers precise and along with your research will put you head and shoulders above the other candidates going for the same role.
For every candidate I will always cover interview preparation, questions to ask in an interview, how to answer competency based questions and the best ways to structure your answers to give them the best possible chance at securing their dream role.
Outside of work:
Outside of work I regularly attend the gym as I love group fitness, as well as exploring Australia’s amazing costal walks and beaches, but not to mention testing out all the different cafés, restaurants and bars Sydney has to offer! Yes I am one of those people who will take a picture of their meal before eating it, I love my food A LOT! I will also never say no to a boozy brunch or a fun night on the dance floor / singing Spice Girls at the local karaoke bar.
