THE CLIENT

My client is a large leading supplier of equipment for kitchens with branches across Australia. Work with an amazing team of 3 people, report to the manager with the potential to progress.

THE ROLE

  • Oversee and manage the purchase order process, creating necessary purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and place orders for restocking and fulfilling customer requests.
  • Support the maintenance of positive relationships with suppliers by obtaining quotes and checking prices.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels according to business and sales requirements.
  • Record incoming stock in the system, ensuring accuracy by matching purchase orders with supplier invoices.
  • Address claims with suppliers related to damaged goods, incorrect pricing, or customer returns for prompt resolution.
  • Offer assistance for project-specific orders when required.
  • Keep both the system and the sales team informed with precise estimated times of arrival for supplier orders.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.


THE PERSON

  • Experience in Purchase Order at least 2 years
  • Experience in Retail or Hospitality is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with a Fast-Paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess creative problem-solving skills, think innovatively, and initiate tasks independently when necessary.
