Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Manager to join their company based in Melbourne CBD. This is a permanent full-time role and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the business.

The Role

  • Invoicing, managing receivables and payables, paying creditors, overseeing AR/AP and ensuring aged debts are followed up.
  • Entering some AP and disbursements as a backup for AP person.
  • Paying creditors & manage cash flow.
  • Filing & maintaining Accounts records.
  • Ensure that costs are considered, reduced or maintained at every opportunity.
  • Keep insurances up to date in conjunction with Office Manager: i.e.: public liability, professional indemnity, workers compensation, motor vehicle, directors & officers, partnership insurance.
  • Maintain asset register and depreciation schedule.
  • Management Accounting: Productivity report, EOM reports for CEO review and ad hoc as required.
  • Assist with month-end-closing journals
  • Budgets: assist in creation and presentation to CEO.
  • Statutory Reporting: FBT, BAS, payroll tax (in liaison with external accountant).
  • Organise EOFY Dividend statements.

The Candidate

  • 4 years expeirence in a similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft O365 & accounting software packages (Deltek Preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team.
