Senior Payroll Officer

THE CLIENT

My client is a major international transport operator who we are exclusively working with to add a Senior Payroll officer to their team. This is a Standalone role as the current person is progressing internally, but the great part of this is that unlike most standalone positions, you will have a backup to allow you to take those important holidays and time off to relax from the crazy payroll world!

THE ROLE

  • Reporting to HR - Standalone Payroll managing pays via the outsourced payroll provider ADP
  • Managing/overseeing pays for 350-400 employees across fortnightly and monthly
  • Checking and reconciling the pays
  • Month end reporting
  • Interpreting awards / EBAs
  • Assist with HR department across contacts, reporting etc
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders - staff, clients, customers, and ADP payroll provider
  • Manage employee queries

The Person

  • Experience in end-to-end payroll including calulcating PAYG, Super, Tax
  • Experience with interpreting multiple awards - ideally exposure to Storage and Wholesale Award, and Clerks award
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excel skills - v-Lookup, Pivot Tables
  • Great communication skills, ability to work closely with HR and Finance
