A leading supply chain & infrastructure organisation, that has merged it's diverse, multi-site payroll function in Sydney CBD. The business has an extremely high volume of multi-jurisdictional enterprise agreements & payroll awards.
Despite the complexity & technical nature of the payroll, the team is highly stable & tenured. The payroll professionals are extremely loyal to the Payroll Manager, who is supportive & flexible.
The team currently attend the office four days per week.
The Role
- End-to-end payroll function including new starters, superannuation, salary packaging and terminations
- Use Rostering systems, ichris & Chris 21
- Processing weekly, fortnightly & monthly payroll in a team of 11 payroll colleagues
- Performing complex calculations including terminations and redundancies; building partnerships with third party institutions & vendors
- Monthly & Year End Stat Reporting
- Managing superannuation contribution
- Preparing commercial analysis for mangement reporting
- Payroll Auditing & compliance
- Maintenance of payroll master data information
- Building trusted partnerships with cross functional stakeholders such as HR, Finance, operations, and colleagues
- Providing exceptional customer service & support to employees regarding pay queries & concerns
- Immediately escalating risks to payroll accuracy & auditability
You will be an experienced payroll professional, with a minumum of 6 years of experience gained in a high volume, complex environment with multiple awards & agreements. It is essential that you have exposure to multiple industrial enterprise agreements.
The systems used are ichris & Chris 21. Relevant systems experience is useful, but not an essential requirement. It is critical that the successful candidate has a deep knowledge of payroll processes, and has the ability to manage a portfolio of between 600- 800 employees automomously.
