Junior Payroll Officer - Part-Time with Potential to Go Full-Time

The role starts as a part-time position (3 days a week) with the potential to become full-time in the future for the right person. It's ideal for someone who has a foundation in accounting or administration and is excited to transition into payroll.

THE ROLE

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing using Preceda
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with onboarding
  • Support with interpreting Awards and EBAs (training provided)
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and manage the inbox
  • Help reconcile superannuation and support reporting needs
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager and broader finance team

THE PERSON

  • You have a background in accounting, admin, or finance
  • You're curious, proactive, and eager to learn something new
  • Strong Excel skills and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and a team-player mindset
  • Payroll experience is a bonus but not essential - training is provided
  • Must hold full Australian working rights (this is a permanent role)
