Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, document, and map payroll processes
- Identifying efficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Partner closely with key stakeholders across Finance, HR, IT, and external providers to support payroll initiatives and change
- Prepare and deliver payroll reports,
- Conduct detailed payroll data analysis, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Provide end-to-end payroll processing support as a back-up, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery
- Ensure payroll activities remain compliant with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Monitor system interfaces and ensure employee records are complete and consistent, ensure data accuracy across systems
- Prepare and review leave accrual reports and assist with adjustments
- Support payroll team with month-end and year-end activities
- Participate in system enhancement testing and updates
- Ensure legislative compliance and contribute to a safe working environment
About You
- Experience within a similar role, strong Analyst skills in process mapping and reporting
- Strong Excel, looking for Intermediate-Advanced. (Macros, VBAs would be a huge plus!)
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience with strong understanding of payroll awards and agreements
- Interest in systems, data analysis, and process improvement
- Experience with iChris and/or Workday is preferred not essential
- Curious, logical thinker who understands the "why" behind processes
- Team player with excellent communication skills
