Payroll Manager

Looking for senior Payroll Managers with experience in leadership, process improvements, compliance, and large transformation projects!
Role Overview
Lead the end-to-end payroll function for a fast growing, acquisitive organisation. Manage payroll operations across multiple entities, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and global teams to build a scalable, high-performing payroll division.
Key Responsibilities
  • Dive under the hood of the current payroll function and optimise/set up process, ensuring compliance and identifying process improvements
  • Manage fortnightly payroll across multiple entities and states
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, superannuation, and tax obligations
  • Asses the current system architect and evaluate other potential options, presenting a business case to Global Head office
  • Manage, mentor and develop current payroll team
  • Lead payroll integration for new acquisitions
  • Coordinate FBT, payroll tax, and workers compensation lodgements
  • Establish governance frameworks and conduct compliance reviews
  • Drive automation and process improvements
  • Provide payroll reporting and insights to senior leadership
  • Act as primary contact for payroll queries
Skills & Experience
  • Experienced Payroll Manager who has exposure to process improvements and large transformation projects
  • Experienced within a global organisation and having to deal with multiple acquisitions
  • Knowledge of Employment Hero (Beneficial)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement and system optimisation
