We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Project Specialist to support a short‑term payroll compliance project for a large, global business based in Macquarie Park.
This role will suit a hands‑on payroll professional who is confident working with awards, analysing historical payroll data, and delivering accurate outcomes under tight timeframes.
Project Overview
You will support a payroll compliance initiative focused on identifying errors, validating entitlements against the relevant award, and calculating the adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse employee payroll data to identify eligibility for additional entitlements and payments
- Assess historical entitlements using provided data, templates, and reports
- Calculate leave owed versus leave taken and identify discrepancies
- Perform payroll data analysis using Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Clearly document findings and calculations for audit and payroll processing purposes
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong end‑to‑end payroll knowledge
- Proven experience interpreting awards and applying them to payroll data
- Strong Excel capability (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Experience in payroll audits, remediation, or leave reconciliation projects highly regarded
